We Are One In The Work Of Salvation

Good day!
It was a great week, and was definitely better than the last one. And it just keeps better and better, especially because we are getting a lot of support from the ward members and leaders.
I also have a firm testimony that Heavenly Father hears and answers our prayers. We were struggling with finding new people to teach. So I got down on my knees and pleaded to our Father in Heaven, and He answered my prayers. This week we did not have to deal with finding new people to teach all by ourselves. We received referrals from members, part member families that they would want us to contact and teach. And so that was one of our successes this week. We were able to contact the De Vera family, part members, who were prepared by the Lord to receive this gospel message. They will be baptized on 27th of September.
We also had a pretty balanced work this week. We did not only focus on investigators, but we also were able to help a lot of less-actives renew their faith in Jesus Christ and a testimony of this restored gospel… because in Angeles Mission, we baptize and rescue. This coming week, two families will be less-active return. We attribute this to the members doing their home teaching and visiting teaching. It’s also very refreshing to see a lot of members attend sacrament meeting. The sacrament hall was almost entirely full. It was one of the miracles this week.
Last Friday, I was on exchanges with one of the elders in my zone. Elder Stewart is a great missionary. He is obedient and diligent. I learned so much from the exchange, especially on how to effectively find new people to teach. We knocked on doors or did house-to-house contacting. He has good people skills, and because of that we were able to contact 5 new investigators. One is a family, and the other two are potential priesthood holders who came to listen to this message for the right reasons… because they want to repent and make a change in their lives. After the lesson, we extended baptismal goals, and they all accepted it. It was a miracle. It was a wonderful learning experience.
Another highlight for this week is the meeting we had with the Stake Presidency and the Bishops from the different units. We were able to discuss matters about missionary work. The missionaries committed to their bishops that they will be giving each auxiliary leader a copy of a completely filled progress record with a specific help needed. The bishops were very pleased, and they committed to have someone work with us every week. We were also able to discuss all about the 15 unit names, and about referrals. We also planned to have a Stake Referral Fireside on the 23rd of August which will help the members know what to do on how they can better prepare their friends/family to be taught by the missionaries and to accept the gospel. I know that Unity is a commandment from the Lord. And as we become one with the ward members and leaders, we will see this work move forward faster than ever before.
I also learned so much from the Mission leadership council meeting this week. Writing letters and obedience is what I loved most. I promise to write to family every week. And to constantly strive to be exactly obedient. I know that obedience brings success, but exact obedience brings miracles. I definitely feel more enabled and feel the Spirit more in the work when I am exactly obedient.
I know this work is the Lord's work. I am grateful for all trials here in the mission. I love you and praying for all of you! Until next week ;)
Nagmamahal,
Elder Anasario
